The click sends data to Google, including your IP address.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div><\/div>\n<h2>What you see<\/h2>\n<p>Depending on where it has swung: the promenade between the marina and the museum, the water, the houses stacked up the slope, and in good weather the ridge behind the city. Because the picture moves, it&#8217;s worth letting it run for a minute or two rather than glancing at it.<\/p>\n<p>The museum itself \u2014 devoted to the island&#8217;s most famous son, who grew up three streets away \u2014 is directly behind the camera and therefore never in shot.<\/p>\n<h2>When it&#8217;s best<\/h2>\n<p>Daytime. Being the only camera here that pans, it also shows the mountain side, and with it the question you cannot answer from sea level: is the lid sitting on the peaks, or is it clear up there?<\/p>\n<h2>Watch it or go?<\/h2>\n<p>The museum: for football fans only, but they&#8217;ll enjoy it. For everyone else the Praca do Mar is somewhere you pass through on the way to the <a href=\"\/en\/funchal-marina-webcam\/\">marina<\/a> \u2014 pleasant, not a destination.<\/p>\n<p><em class=\"wom-note\">This camera drops out more often than the others. If you get a notice instead of a picture, the operator isn&#8217;t broadcasting; it usually comes back on its own.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The only moving camera in this collection.
