What is actually worth booking<\/h2>\n

If you have a week and want to book only three things:<\/p>\n

  1. A whale and dolphin boat trip.<\/strong> You cannot do it without a boat, the hit rate is high, and at \u20ac35 it is the clearest value on the island.<\/li>\n
  2. The transfer for Pico do Arieiro \u2192 Pico Ruivo.<\/strong> A point-to-point hike in your own car is a getting-back problem. \u20ac30\u201350 solves it.<\/li>\n
  3. Canyoning, or a guided levada with tunnels.<\/strong> With kit and local knowledge both are a different activity than without.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Everything else \u2014 viewpoints, Porto Moniz, Fanal, Santana, the markets \u2014 you will see more cheaply and at your own pace with a hire car<\/a>.<\/p>\n
