Aus vier Kilometern auf der Ponta de S\u00e3o Louren\u00e7o werden acht.<\/p>\n<h2>Reservierung und Geb\u00fchr<\/h2>\n<p>Seit 2025 ist f\u00fcr die klassifizierten PR-Wege eine <strong>Reservierung Pflicht<\/strong>, und zwar f\u00fcr jeden einzelnen Weg und jeden einzelnen Tag. Gebucht wird \u00fcber das Landesportal <strong>SIMplifica<\/strong>, in Zeitfenstern von 30 Minuten.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>4,50 \u20ac pro Person<\/strong> (Stand 8\/2026) f\u00fcr Selbstgeher.<\/li>\n<li><strong>10,50 \u20ac f\u00fcr die PR 1<\/strong>, die seit ihrer vollst\u00e4ndigen Wiederer\u00f6ffnung im Mai 2026 gesondert bepreist ist.<\/li>\n<li><strong>3 \u20ac<\/strong> \u00fcber Anbieter, die ein Abkommen mit dem IFCN haben \u2014 der Grund, warum eine <a href=\"\/de\/bergwanderungen\/\">gef\u00fchrte Tour<\/a> unterm Strich manchmal kaum teurer ist als die Selbstorganisation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Auf Madeira gemeldete Personen und Kinder unter zw\u00f6lf zahlen nichts.<\/strong> Ein gebuchtes Zeitfenster brauchen sie trotzdem.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Der Betrag hat sich seit Einf\u00fchrung schon zweimal bewegt. Wer plant, pr\u00fcft ihn im Portal nach; verbindlich ist, was dort steht. Ohne Buchung endet die Wanderung am Drehkreuz \u2014 nach der Anfahrt, oft nach einer Stunde Bergstra\u00dfe.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Levada oder Bergweg<\/h2>\n<p>Die Wege zerfallen in zwei Sorten, die sich beim Gehen kaum \u00e4hnlicher sind als ein Feldweg und ein Klettersteig.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Levadas<\/strong> folgen den historischen Bew\u00e4sserungskan\u00e4len. Sie sind waagrecht angelegt \u2014 das m\u00fcssen sie sein, sonst liefe das Wasser nicht \u2014 und deshalb konditionell anspruchslos. Der Anspruch liegt woanders: schmale B\u00e4nke ohne Gel\u00e4nder, nasse glatte Steine, unbeleuchtete Tunnel. Die PR 9 hat vier davon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Veredas<\/strong> sind Bergpfade. Sie steigen und fallen, sind trocken und gut gestuft, und verlangen Kondition statt Nervenst\u00e4rke. Die PR 1 \u00fcber den Grat zwischen den beiden h\u00f6chsten Gipfeln der Insel ist das Musterbeispiel.<\/p>\n<p>Wer H\u00f6henangst hat, ist auf einer Vereda oft besser aufgehoben als auf einer Levada \u2014 was die meisten Leute vor der ersten Wanderung genau falsch herum vermuten.<\/p>\n<h2>Was mitgeh\u00f6rt<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Profilierte Wanderschuhe.<\/strong> Keine Turnschuhe. Levadasteine sind ganzj\u00e4hrig feucht und rutschen wie Seife.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stirnlampe<\/strong> f\u00fcr jeden Weg mit Tunnel. Das Handylicht reicht f\u00fcr zwanzig Meter, nicht f\u00fcr achthundert. Der Norden hat sein eigenes Wetter.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mehr Wasser als gedacht.<\/strong> Auf der PR 8 gibt es vier Stunden lang keinen Quadratmeter Schatten und keine Quelle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Warme Schicht f\u00fcrs Hochland.<\/strong> Auf 1800 Metern sind es regelm\u00e4\u00dfig zehn bis f\u00fcnfzehn Grad weniger als am Meer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Das Wetter entscheidet, nicht der Kalender<\/h2>\n<p>Madeira hat kein Inselwetter, sondern mehrere gleichzeitig. Sonne in Funchal und geschlossene Wolkendecke in Santana ist der Normalfall, nicht die Ausnahme \u2014 die Gr\u00fcnde stehen unter <a href=\"\/de\/wetter-nord-sued-madeira\/\">Wetter im Norden und S\u00fcden<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr das Gebirge f\u00fchrt der portugiesische Wetterdienst IPMA ein eigenes Warngebiet. Eine gelbe Wind- oder Nebelwarnung dort ist der Grund, warum die PR 1 morgens geschlossen bleiben kann, w\u00e4hrend unten die Sonne scheint. <strong>Die aktuelle Lage steht neben diesem Text.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Praktisch hei\u00dft das: den Grat fr\u00fch gehen, weil der Nebel meist mittags kommt. Das Fanal umgekehrt bei Nebel gehen, weil es genau daf\u00fcr ber\u00fchmt ist.<\/p>\n<h2>Welcher Weg f\u00fcr wen<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Erste Wanderung, unsicher:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/de\/pr11-vereda-dos-balcoes\/\">PR 11 Balc\u00f5es<\/a> \u2014 20 Minuten bis zum Aussichtspunkt, breit, kein Absturzgel\u00e4nde.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ein einziger Tag, ein gro\u00dfes Bild:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/de\/pr1-pico-do-arieiro-pico-ruivo\/\">PR 1<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gipfel ohne Grat:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/de\/pr1-2-pico-ruivo-achada-do-teixeira\/\">PR 1.2<\/a> \u2014 derselbe Pico Ruivo, aus der anderen Richtung, in einer statt drei Stunden.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Die klassische Levada:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/de\/pr6-levada-das-25-fontes\/\">PR 6 zu den 25 Fontes<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Keine H\u00f6henangst, aber auch kein Schatten:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/de\/pr8-ponta-de-sao-lourenco\/\">PR 8<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ganzer Tag, viel Kondition:<\/strong> <a href=\"\/de\/pr17-pinaculo-e-folhadal\/\">PR 17<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Ohne Mietwagen<\/h2>\n<p>Fast alle Einstiege liegen an Bergstra\u00dfen ohne brauchbaren Linienverkehr, und mehrere Wege enden woanders, als sie anfangen \u2014 bei der PR 13, PR 17, PR 19 und PR 20 steht das Auto am Ende des Tages am falschen Ende der Insel.
