Die Stirnlampe ist Pflichtausr\u00fcstung, kein Zubeh\u00f6r.<\/p>\n<h2>Was diesen Weg fordert<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ausdauer.<\/strong> Sechseinhalb Stunden ohne Abk\u00fcrzung. Es gibt unterwegs keinen Punkt, an dem man bequem aussteigen kann.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Trittsicherheit.<\/strong> Die Levadaabschnitte an den Nordh\u00e4ngen sind schmal, nass und teils ungesichert.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Wetterfestigkeit.<\/strong> Der Weg liegt fast durchgehend auf der Nordseite, wo es auch dann feucht und k\u00fchl ist, wenn Funchal in der Sonne liegt.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zeitpuffer.<\/strong> Wer um neun startet, ist bei Pausen kaum vor halb f\u00fcnf am Ziel. Im Winter wird das knapp.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Der R\u00fcckweg ist das Planungsproblem<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Start und Ziel liegen weit auseinander<\/strong>, und zwischen Lombo do Mouro und Encumeada gibt es keine praktikable Verbindung zu Fu\u00df. Wer sein Auto am Start abstellt, steht abends f\u00fcnfzehn Kilometer davon entfernt.<\/p>\n<p>An der Encumeada halten Busse Richtung Ribeira Brava und S\u00e3o Vicente, aber selten und mit unzuverl\u00e4ssigen Anschl\u00fcssen. F\u00fcr diesen Weg ist ein <a href=\"\/de\/wandertransfers\/\">Wandertransfer<\/a> oder ein zweites Auto praktisch die einzige saubere L\u00f6sung \u2014 Hinfahrt zum Lombo do Mouro, Abholung an der Encumeada.<\/p>\n<p>Das ist auch der Grund, warum die PR 17 unter Selbstgehern seltener zu sehen ist als ihre Landschaft verdient.<\/p>\n<h2>Reservierung<\/h2>\n<p>Geb\u00fchren- und reservierungspflichtig \u00fcber SIMplifica, Zeitfenster von 30 Minuten.
