Kein Tunnel, keine ausgesetzte Stelle, aber viel weicher, nasser Boden.<\/p>\n<p>Zwei Dinge sind zu wissen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Der Weg endet nicht am Ausgangspunkt.<\/strong> Start und Ziel liegen mehrere Kilometer auseinander an derselben Landstra\u00dfe. Ohne zweites Auto oder <a href=\"\/de\/wandertransfers\/\">Transfer<\/a> wird daraus ein sehr langer Tag.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Die ber\u00fchmten B\u00e4ume stehen am Fanal-Ende.<\/strong> Wer nur die B\u00e4ume sehen will, f\u00e4hrt direkt zur Weidefl\u00e4che am Fanal \u2014 daf\u00fcr braucht es keine Wanderung.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em class=\"wom-note\">F\u00fcr diesen Weg zeigt dieser Guide <strong>kein H\u00f6henprofil<\/strong>. Die Hochebene ist flach, das verf\u00fcgbare H\u00f6henmodell hat ein Raster von 25 Metern, und was dabei herausk\u00e4me, w\u00e4re die Streuung des Modells und nicht das Gel\u00e4nde.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>Warum man bei Nebel geht<\/h2>\n<p>Das ist die Umkehrung der \u00fcblichen Regel. Bei Sonne ist Fanal eine h\u00fcbsche Weide mit alten B\u00e4umen. Im Nebel \u2014 und der Nordwesten Madeiras liefert ihn zuverl\u00e4ssig \u2014 werden die Silhouetten zu dem, wof\u00fcr der Ort bekannt ist.<\/p>\n<p>Der Nebel ist zugleich der Grund, warum die B\u00e4ume so aussehen: Der Lorbeerwald lebt vom Nebelniederschlag, den er aus der Wolke k\u00e4mmt. <a href=\"\/de\/wetter-nord-sued-madeira\/\">Warum Nord und S\u00fcd unterschiedliches Wetter haben<\/a> erkl\u00e4rt den Mechanismus.<\/p>\n<p>Praktisch hei\u00dft das: Bei dichtem Nebel wird die <strong>Orientierung<\/strong> ernst. Der Weg ist markiert, aber die offenen Fl\u00e4chen sehen alle gleich aus, und die Sichtweite f\u00e4llt unter zwanzig Meter. Wer bei solchen Bedingungen unsicher ist, geht die kurze Runde an der Weide statt der vollen Strecke.<\/p>\n<h2>Anfahrt<\/h2>\n<p>\u00dcber die Paul da Serra und die ER 209 in Richtung Ribeira da Janela. Beide Endpunkte liegen an dieser Stra\u00dfe. Der Parkplatz am Fanal ist an Wochenenden voll, die Stra\u00dfe dar\u00fcber oft in Wolken.<\/p>\n<p>Ohne eigenes Auto ist die Anfahrt praktisch nicht zu l\u00f6sen \u2014 es f\u00e4hrt kein Bus hierher. Anbieter fahren Fanal gezielt an, wenn die Wetterlage stimmt; mehr unter <a href=\"\/de\/bergwanderungen\/\">gef\u00fchrten Bergwanderungen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Reservierung<\/h2>\n<p>Geb\u00fchren- und reservierungspflichtig \u00fcber SIMplifica, Zeitfenster von 30 Minuten. Die bekannten B\u00e4ume stehen an der Weide am Fanal, wenige Minuten vom Parkplatz. Die Wanderung ist die Landschaft drumherum.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wann ist der Nebel am wahrscheinlichsten?<\/strong> Im Winterhalbjahr und generell am Morgen.
